Venue Hire

Please note: We are not able to accept any venue hire enquries at the moment, due to current COVID-19 limitations.

Hold your next event at the EcoCentre

We are located in the beautiful St Kilda Botanical Gardens, on the corner of Blessington Street and Herbert Street in St Kilda. This great location is only a short walk away from cafes, restaurants and the beach. Our Meeting Room is a vital resource for groups engaged in environmental initiatives. As such initiatives are central to the EcoCentre’s existence, these groups are given priority access. The Meeting Room can be hired for meetings and small events. Meeting room hire includes the use of the kitchen facilites, a projector, laptop, and WIFI. The room can accomodate a maximum of 30 people seated or 40 people standing.

We also offer children's Zero-Waste Birthday Parties, where our Zero Waste philosophy of 'Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Remove' provides the basis for an engaging and playful environment to showcase how simple it is to live more sustainably. Local catering options are available through this list of providers.

The EcoCentre has wheelchair access. This includes the access ramp adjacent to the Blessington Street entrance and the wheelchair accessible toilet.

We are a short walk away from public transport: take tram 96 to St Kilda (terminus/Acland St stop) or trams 16, 3, 3A, 67, 79 (St Kilda Rd/Carlisle St stop). The closest train station is Balaclava. Bicycle racks and a shower are available. Parking on Blessington and Herbert Streets are free on the side of the Botanical Gardens.

Boon Wurrung Foundation Logo The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukut Weelam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional owners of the land on which we are located. We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Elder members of our multicultural community.
