Holding hope

Do you see the glass half full or half empty?
You might change your mind after listening to this talk by our Climate Cafe facilitator, Carol Ann Allen.

In this playful and compassionate talk, Carol-Ann takes a closer look at this water glass test – and other familiar metaphors we use to simplify choices or avoid uncomfortable conversations in our relationships, in our daily lives, and in our climate-changing world.

“We may need to rock the boat, acknowledge the elephant in the room, even step on a few eggshells to embrace hope in these uncertain times.”

Carol-Ann’s previous public talks in Melbourne (Making Peace with Your Parents, Courageous Conversations and Cultivating Courage) have been called “inspiring, thought-provoking, brave and refreshing.”

In this timely new talk, weaving stories both personal and professional, Carol-Ann will share some of what she’s learned about holding hope, and having meaningful conversations about what really matters.
Join us for this special free community event, highlighting the EcoCentre’s much-welcomed Climate Cafes. Learn why talking together about our changing climate can really make a difference for all of us. Entry to Carol-Ann’s talk is free but for those who are able, a donation would be appreciated – these can be made at: https://www.givenow.com.au/ecocentre

Seating is limited so early booking is recommended. We hope to see you there!
