BeachKeepers of the Bay Planting in the Dunes

Come along and celebrate National Tree Day this weekend starting with a Saturday planting at St Kilda West Beach. We need our volunteers to turn out in force on the Saturday to help the EcoCentre plant 3000 local plants in the iconic St Kilda West Beach coastal area.

Join the EcoCentre for this special opportunity to participate in a significant and large community planting at the iconic St Kilda West Beach coastal dune precinct. The EcoCentre needs to put 3000 plants in the ground after works at the beach created an accessible boardwalk.

St Kilda West Beach is a local gem, a large coastal dune reserve that is home to our local coastal dune plants. This event promises to be a rewarding experience for all involved as we take the next step in improving the biodiversity of this large dune area. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or new to planting, your contribution will make a difference.

There will be plenty of plants for everyone to put in the ground, and everyone is welcome to participate. All materials will be provided. If you have your own garden gloves, please bring them along.

See you there! National Tree Day is Sunday 28 June, but because we have so many plants to get in over the weekend at two locations, we're starting on this Saturday.

If you can't make it, there's a community planting day on the following day, Sunday 28 June, at Moran Reserve – https://www.ecocentre.com/events/event/national-tree-day-community-planting-event-mo-moran-reserve-2024/
