We've received pledges from the Greens and Labor for the redevelopment of the EcoCentre
Local nature reconnection, environmental passion and practical action are skyrocketing to match the challenges of our time, by working together. Our community has outgrown our cottage and City of Port Phillip have committed 50% of the costs to develop a fit-for-purpose environment hub.

Meeting our federal candidates about environment policy also showed them firsthand our eco-hub bursting at the seams. This is what candidates have now pledged toward EcoCentre redevelopment if their party wins government:

We continue to advocate for the best policies with non-partisan integrity. But how exciting and empowering if we soon have enough space for more experts, volunteers, students and partner groups to collaborate in research, education, action and advocacy for sustainability!

Scouts Groups doing litter audits on Street2Bay
It's been a busy month for your Port Phillip Baykeeper Neil Blake, who's recently trained another 12 Scouts groups across Victoria to conduct street microplastic audits as part of the Street2Bay project. These audits will plastic litter hotspots and types to be mapped across different areas of Victoria, to stop litter at the source before it reaches our Bay. Another 30 Scouts groups are preparing to be trained by your Baykeeper team to join this world-leading project!
