Looking for a quick climate win? (Me: Always!) Take 15 Climate Minutes this month to:
1. Switch to Powershop - you save $75, and it fundraises $75 for our new climate programs. (10 minutes)
2. Jump onto Have Your Say to show critical support for the EcoCentre Redevelopment. (5 minutes)

We use GreenPower via Powershop (CANSTAR-rated greenest) and if you use our referral link Powershop gives you $75 credit AND they donate $75 to the EcoCentre, where we’ll redirect the equivalent from our utilities budget into a Climate Workshops fund for more programs to tackle the ecological challenges together.

But... what is GreenPower? It's a specific government regulated electricity offering, wherein you elect to pay 5.5¢ more per kilowatt hour for the power company to invest in new renewables. It’s shockingly undersubscribed, but that means if all us climate-concerned Australians now switch to GreenPower (numbers say that most haven’t done so yet) we can powerfully, directly influence an enormous shift, without waiting for regulators or businesses. Our referral link saves you $75, which typically offsets annual costs of your choice of GreenPower. TIP: Secure savings if you buy credits in advance instead of post-paying. In mere minutes per year, you cut emissionsback Australian renewables, and fundraise for the EcoCentre — isn't it a relief to be able to DO something with immediate and perpetual benefit?

Thanks, April
EcoCentre Redevelopment
As you may have heard, we have worked with City of Port Phillip to develop a concept plan for the redevelopment of the EcoCentre. Council wants to hear your thoughts on the redesign plan by 22 Mar. Design features include one of Australia's first citizen science labs, a community space triple the size of the EcoCentre's current meeting room, and Six Star Green Star 'World Leadership' sustainable design rating - net zero in operation, powered by 170 rooftop solar panels. Leave your messages of support here, or come to the information session at the EcoCentre on 11 Mar. This project is contingent on raising partnership funding.
Revegetation Gardening Group
Our first Saturday Gardening Volunteering Group begins on Saturday 14th March! This fortnightly volunteering opportunity will run from 10am to 12pm, focusing on propagation and revegetation to restore native coastal plants to the local area. EcoCentre educators will run exclusive gardening workshops for all participants in each session, and each session will conclude with a locally-sourced morning tea. Spots are limited! Find out more about the program and apply hereThis program is funded by Transurban and the Australian Government Communities Environment Program.

Join us at Powershop and save $75!
We've made the switch over to Powershop for their commitment to offsetting emissions and investing in renewable energy generation - they're the highest-ranked supplier on the Green Electricity Guide. Plus - if you switch to Powershop using our link, we'll both score $75 off our energy bill. Make a change that's good for the planet, the EcoCentre, and your wallet!
NatureSpot highlights

Our community has been busy documenting what species live in their backyards through NatureSpot so Council knows what plants and animals live here that they need to protect. Join us from 4-10 April for our Autumn NatureSpot facilitated surveys, where we'll help you uncover what species live in our backyard. Register for upcoming NatureSpot surveys here. Or, log photos anytime of what creatures and plants are in your backyard, balcony, or office on our NatureSpot website

Supported by City of Port Phillip, and funded through the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning Caring for our Local Environment grant program.
