Let's make our city #PenguinFriendly !

Jinhua, our Multicultural Bay Ambassador, invites you to connect with our home we share with the Little Penguins that live in the heart of urban Melbourne in Port Phillip Bay. Come along for a fun and informative evening and take action for a #PenguinFriendly Melbourne. Learn about plastic pollution, nurdles, penguins and our beautiful marine ecosystem of Port Phillip Bay.

Many penguins are currently molting (shedding old feathers to grow new ones) and are taking shelter in the breakwater. Participants are also welcome to stay after the event to see other penguins swim back to their burrows at dusk.

We warmly invite international students and multicultural residents of Melbourne to connect to Port Phillip Bay!

This is a multilingual event, covering Mandarin, Japanese, Indonesian and English.

The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukit Willam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional custodians of the land on which we are located.

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other First Nations and Elder members of our multicultural community.
