Save the date for our Term 4 free TEN Professional Development: Creating Habitat for Urban Wildlife. This workshop will bring together teachers from many schools and share lesson plans, resources, and experiences.

Urban wildlife who depend on hollows, in old growth trees, are struggling to find safe nesting places for their survival and need our assistance, using alternative options such as nestboxes, bat tubes and more, to ensure they survive and thrive in our urban areas.

Educators from the EcoCentre, Malcolm Dow and Sharron Hunter seek to inspire educators by sharing their knowledge of a few species and their nesting needs, to improve backyards and school grounds all over Melbourne!  In addition, schools who are currently progressing in Resource Smart, and want to improve their biodiversity scores, would benefit from this workshop.

This workshop will be held over Zoom.

The EcoCentre acknowledges the Kulin Nations, including the Yalukit Willam clan of the Boon Wurrung language group, traditional custodians of the land on which we are located.

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other First Nations and Elder members of our multicultural community.
