School Sustainability Festival
Thursday 11 September 2025

The School Sustainability Festival is an annual event organised by the Port Phillip EcoCentre to provide local schools and their communities an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge their environmental and student leadership achievements within City of Port Phillip, Bayside City Council, City of Stonnington and City of Glen Eira.
Now in its 20th year, the School Sustainability Festival is Victoria’s longest running school sustainability festival celebrating and empowering student leadership for our environment. Our School Sustainability Festival was a finalist in the 2023 Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Awards.Â
Expressions of interest for this years event are now available to schools in the City of Port Phillip, Bayside City Council, City of Stonnington and the City of Glen Eira.Â
Please register your interest via the form at the bottom of this page

At this event, environmental leaders from participating schools present a workshop on a sustainability topic or initiative to peers from other schools. The day also includes an awards ceremony and afternoon of fun activities run by the EcoCentre and special guest organisations.Â
Schools are invited to bring up to 10 student leaders. Attendance is free.Â
We have implemented a new cap on student numbers per school in order to be able to accommodate more schools at this event. If you require support in order to attend, or need to accommodate a larger group size, please get in touch and we will do our best to make this accessible to you.
Â
The festival is proudly sponsored by the City of Port Phillip, Bayside City Council, City of Stonnington and City of Glen Eira.
