Port Phillip Baykeeper is partnering with Scouts Victoria to map microplastic litter hotspots across Melbourne, to help us stop plastic pollution at the source before it harms wildlife and waterways.
Street2Bay will see hundreds of Scouts from 30+ Scout Groups within a 100km radius of Melbourne participate in this environmental study. Groups will be trained in the systematic audit method and will be given the necessary audit equipment and support to conduct street microplastic audits every three months in their catchment area.
Get your Scout Group involved by checking out the FAQ, visiting the Street2Bay Facebook page or contact Tracey Steeves via street2bay@scoutsvictoria.com.au.
This project is funded by the Victorian Government Port Phillip Bay Fund.
